Bellway Homes Tranby Park Site is the first site to be awarded Ecofficiency’s Best Practice Award twice!
The site team at Bellway Homes Tranby Park has been presented with the Best Practice Award for February 2024 based on these three categories:
- Outstanding Waste Intensity Score – 3.4 Tonnes per 100m2 build
- 100% Monthly Site Assessment score consecutively
- Dave and his site teams’ enthusiastic attitude toward segregation and the Managed Waste Service from the beginning of the project.
Ecofficiency first began working with Bellway Yorkshire on the Tranby Park site back in January 2019. A waste management system was put in place where several monitored segregation compounds were set up around site along with colour-coded signage to ensure segregation at source. Throughout the duration of the project, regular toolbox talks were presented to all trades on site to further reinforce best practice in waste management.
Through the implementation of Ecofficiency’s Managed Waste Service, Tranby Park achieved an outstanding waste intensity score for the past four years – an impressive 3.4 Tonne per 100m2 of build. This is the lowest waste intensity figure across all Bellway Yorkshire sites!
Site Manager Dave has shown an enthusiastic attitude towards Ecofficiency’s Managed Waste Service from the initial stages of the project. The excellent collaboration between Eco and Bellway Homes on this project can be reflected through the outstanding results achieved by Dave and his site team.
Dave Turner, Site Manager at Bellway Tranby Park, said: “Over the past four years Ecofficiency and the on-site support they provide has been invaluable to creating the Waste Management systems on site and the Waste Intensity performance at Tranby Park. Having a good team and regular monitoring from the site management team is key to helping control segregation on site! A big benefit of Ecofficiency’s service is the toolbox talks that they provide on a regular basis to continually drive segregation”.
Dave’s attitude towards segregation and Ecofficiency’s Managed Waste Service strategy has been key to driving the sites waste intensity figure down, which has ultimately led him to be the worthy winner of the Best Practice Award for February 2024.
