Aims & Objectives

Ecofficiency were tasked by C Spencer to manage all waste produced on site during the construction and development of new platforms and design of Gravesend Railway Station.
The station was closed throughout the main period of construction referred to as the ‘blockade’ period lasting 3 weeks from mid-December to Early January, where we were required to provide a call out service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
An initial on-site assessment allowed us to generate a SWMP and suggest appropriate options for waste disposal, this was monitored and updated if necessary on a monthly basis.
Ecofficiency comprehensive local supply chain allowed us to select the most suited contractors that could maintain environmental performance whilst being cost effective and efficient.

Services Supplied

Throughout the project Ecofficiency successfully supplied disposal options for all construction waste produced on site and also emptied all welfare & canteen facilities.
Service was key to ensure C Spencer Ltd targets and deadlines were met and in certain busier periods of the contract a commitment was made to achieve emergency call out requests within 4 hours for tanker supply.
Ecofficiency supported the contract by setting a dedicated day-to-day account manager that was available on a 24/7 basis as a direct contact for the site team to place bookings and to maintain site service.
Our on-line portal provided C Spencer access to all critical documentation to fulfil their duty of care such as licenses, waste transfer notes and reports.
